GUEST AT YOUR TABLE
For more than 60 years, the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee has advanced human rights and social justice in the United States and internationally. As an independent, membership organization, the UUSC promotes human rights and social justice world wide with the support of 25,000 members and supporters. In other words us, you and me. The UUSC is an associate member organization of the Unitarian Universalist Association, but receives no general financial support from the UUA. More importantly, the UUSC does not receive and federal or state funding.
Dateline December 5, 2007
Please stop by the little table in front of the RE/Music Resource Room and pick up your "guest at your table" box. Take the box home with you and place it on your kitchen table for the next few weeks. Each time you sit and have a meal, drop a few coins into the box. The idea is that you are feeding one more person at each meal. Then, on Sunday, January 6th - (or any Sunday until then) return your box to Ann Harrison. She and the kids will then "roll up" the money and send it off to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee where it will be used in some way to help make the world a better place. Also, there are envelopes on the table for those who don't want to give up their pocket change! (Checks can be made out to: UUSC).
