Sermons and Services
Singer Songwriter John Prine, who was recently featured on CBS television and honored by the Gramys, is an inexhaustible source of sermon material, especially for UU ministers. Charlie Tyler has a friend who said, "Only the UU's would use John Prine as sermon material." Consider this poetic line, "Ain't it funny how an old broken bottle looks just like a diamond ring." If you're struggling with that line, look again. Consider the last time you saw a snake that turned out to be a garden hose or a statue of a saint that turned out to be a frog. Come enjoy the fun and listen for Ellen Titus to sing Angel From Montgomery.
