The real history of the first Thanksgiving deviates sharply from the rosy image many of us grew up with. We'll look at that history as realistically as possible, with an eye on what we can learn from this history lesson.
I will attempt to discuss how themes in humanity cycle and it is our job in this present day to keep from repeating terrible periods of our history. Now how do we do that? I will attempt to leave some thoughts on how we collectively work toward peace.
This October I celebrated 50 years of connection with a small UU church in Albion, NY. This is what I told them last week.
