July 28, 2019 Service: What does it mean to “Love Thy Enemy?” Rabbi Robert Haas *Audio and Video*7/28/2019 Loving our family is easy….. most of the time. Loving our friends is sometimes probably even easier, but why do several traditions teach us to love our enemy. Doesn’t it seem far-fetched? Do we really need to actually love our enemies, or does this phrase actually mean something even more essential about the process by which we can save our culture from its most villainous threat? What exactly then is this threat, and how do we define it and combat it?
