From Joan Baez: I have to remain in denial for a good portion of the time because otherwise I’d go crazy. You have to measure what you do in little victories that reintroduce compassion and empathy. We won’t have social change until people are capable of taking risks again.
We over use science and reason to exclude any talk of what most other traditions refer to as spirituality. Peter Kandis and Rev. Andy Reece have done a great job of looking at these issues from a humanist perspective. Rev. Pat Jobe comes at the issue as a mystic and a believer in the spirit that moves in the wind. Should be a lot of fun, with maybe even a serious moment or two.
