International touring musician and UU troubadour Joe Jencks will share ideas and songs exploring what it means to place our faith in both diligence and surrender. Our lives are fundamentally a real-time forward process; a journey whose course can almost never be truly charted except by looking in the rear-view mirror. So how do we accept being people on a journey? And how do we embrace and trust in unknowable outcomes to be the gateway to goodness? An old Arab proverb says, “Trust Allah, but tie up your camel.” What does that mean to each of us now? How do we find transformative moments inside of our daily activities?
****** Joe Jencks is a 20-year veteran of the international Folk circuit. Touring extensively throughout North America, Jencks is respected as an American Folk master.
