I remember as a child my mother always said around Thanksgiving, "count your blessings." Only in late adulthood have I followed my mother's wishes, and what I have found raises some discomfort for me. Some blessings are eternal and almost unchangeable. Others, however, are blessings derived from centuries of human work and wisdom. Some of these blessing are crumbling. We'll talk about both the eternal and the crumbling in our Thanksgiving sermon.
