Charlie as a half Finnish descendant (and a clinical social worker) I admit I knew about the Finnish people being the happiest in the world. The issues are why. It's not in the genes. (I have a great smile but it doesn't reach that many people and sometimes of course, I don't smile- but I also know that when I do smile it makes people really happy in the moment. I read an article that discussed that the reason the Finnish people are happy is pretty much they have a socialist government which affords them equal access to health care as well as other social amenities. My mother and grandmother spoke Finnish and I wish I had learned it because if this current administration doesn't change I'd love to go there to experience that happiness. Although it's likely they speak English....
