1 . Backpack Buddies of Hilton Head. https://backpackbuddieshh.orgBackpack Buddies of Hilton Head was designed to fight weekend hunger and has grown to help
children in all public schools on Hilton Head Island. Elementary-aged children at partner schools
receive nutritious food each Friday during the school year.
2 . Bluffton Community Soup Kitchen. https://blufftoneats.org
Bluffton Community Soup Kitchen is a community service organization providing assistance to
underserved families. Service programs include: hunger, job insecurity, child development,
senior wellness, housing, education, and community engagement.
3 . Family Promise of Beaufort County. https://familypromisebeaufortcounty.org
Our mission is to empower families through relationships and skill-building to move from
homelessness to home. Resources include compassionate care, hospitality, professional
support, lodging, meals, donated goods, and - most importantly - volunteers.
4 . Habitat for Humanity. https://www.habitathhi.org
Partners with families in need of an affordable home of their own; fostering stability, self-
reliance, and a strong sense of community. Since 1990, HHRHFH has built 124 homes in
Southern Beaufort and Jasper counties and has less than a 2% foreclosure rate. Affordable
housing changes lives and the community.

The Sandalwood Community Food Pantry serves the hungry and the needy o n Hilton Head
Island, SC. We provide food, love, dignity and spiritual guidance. Sandalwood Community Food
Pantry is an equal opportunity provider.
6 . Second Helpings-Bluffton. https://www.secondhelpingslc.org
Second Helpings is a nonprofit food rescue and distribution network striving to eliminate hunger
and food waste in the S.C. Lowcountry. We collect and distribute food which would have
otherwise ended up in landfills, and provide it, free of charge, to more than 50 food pantries,
soup kitchens, and family and senior programs in Beaufort, Jasper & Hampton counties.
7 . Meals on Wheels---Bluffton. https://www.mowblufftonhiltonhead.org
We deliver meals to homebound clients in Hilton Head and Bluffton who lack the capacity to
prepare nutritious meals without regard to their ability to pay. Warm meals are delivered five
days a week. We not only deliver meals, but we also make sure our clients are doing well as part
of daily engagement with them.

For more than 30 years, we have been providing basic needs and financial support to our
community. We support families who are economically at-risk and provide those in need with a
pathway toward self-sufficiency. We know when hard work, opportunity, and a strong
community come together, personal success is possible for all.

Community Foundation of the Lowcountry is the largest source of unrestricted philanthropic
resources dedicated to Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper Counties. Throughout our
history, we have expanded our services, undertaken important initiative,s and altered our course
to ensure we're serving the needs of the Lowcountry.
10. Deep Well Project. https://www.deepwellproject.org
The Deep Well Project was founded in 1973, digging wells to provide clean, safe drinking water
to the Hilton Head Island Community. Since then, it has been the source of emergency
assistance to the local community. We provide food, housing, financial help, children's
programs, furniture and other special services such as medical assistance & scholarship
a s s i s t a n c e .

Veterans For Peace is a global organization of Military Veterans and allies whose collective
efforts are to build a culture of peace by using our experiences and lifting our voices. We inform
the public of the true causes of war and the enormous costs of wars, with an obligation to heal
the wounds of war.

NOC's mission is to fight poverty by empowering individuals, families, and communities.
so that people can realize their full potential and become independent and self-reliant. NOC
also believes in the legal rights of all individuals and their right to participation in the political
process, as well as access to education, health care, capital, and information.
13. ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union). https://www.aclufoundation.org
The American Civil Liberties Union was founded in 1920 and is our nation's guardian of liberty.
The ACLU works in the courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the
individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and
laws of the United States.

Moms Demand Action is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that

15. Mitchelville Freedom Park. https://exploremitchelville.org
What had begun as a military mission grew into something more. Mitchelville
became a vibrant, self-governed community, both defined and accentuated by the customs and
cultures of native islanders, the Gullahs, and those brought to America from a multitude of
countries and islands. At its height, Mitchelville boasted 1,500 to 3,000 residents and
demonstrated freedom and opportunity for African Americans with diverse backgrounds and
origins.

For Volunteers, The Bargain Box offers a material contribution to the community. Working there regularly - sorting, sales, pricing, etc., means being a part of the team. For the community, The Bargain Box provides a way to recycle usable items and offer donation pickups. With the proceeds from the sales, The Bargain Box provides grants to many community programs and services.
17. Coastal Discovery Museum https://coastaldiscovery.org
Home to a wide variety of programming and events. Committed to their mission to Inspire People to Care for the Lowcountry, they creatively offer opportunities that are hands-on and about our region.
18. Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry https://theliteracycenter.org
For 4+ decades, The Learning Center has equipped Beaufort County adults with the reading, writing, math, and speaking skills they need to build self-reliance and success at home, in the workplace, and in the community.
19. Volunteers in Medicine https://vimclinic.org
VIM's mission is to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of of the medically underserved and their households who live or work in Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Daufuskie.
20. Color Outside the Lines https://blufftonyouthgroup.com
A youth group committed to creating welcome, judgement-free community through regular meetups and civic actions. Founded by students for students ages 11-17 in the Lowcountry.

High-quality good at low prices, with the purpose of providing funding for local and global missions, as well as to support a multitude of Beaufort County non-profit organizations.
